As it begins to draw closer to Christmas and December I love to begin watching the festive movies. They just make me feel all kinds of emotions, and I just ultimately feel much happier.
There is something about a festive movie that brings joy, happiness and just gets me in that Christmas spirit. All of this is great for my creativity and to motivate me within my personal and work life.

Therefore, today I am sharing with you…
My top 6 festive movies of all time!

Elf
Elf has to be one of my favourite Christmas films. It just puts me in such a good mood after and well even during watching it. It will always be one for me to watch every year.
About the film: Buddy is a human that is raised by elves in the North Pole. After he discovers that he is not an elf he travels all the way to New York to find his biological father.
As I said this one is a feel-good, full of cheer and one for all the family to watch! I probably know all the words by now, and it still makes me laugh and smile to this day.
Rating: 5/5*
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
I know there is a cartoon version now, but honestly I prefer the first film. However, I do think it is one of those films you either love or you hate. Personally, like I mentioned I love it. It is just a family classic in my household and we always used to watch it Christmas eve, and I will always hold so many memories with that.
About the film: Basically about a Grinch that despises Christmas and everything about it. Until he meets a 6-year-old-girl that loves Christmas and believes in the spirit of festivities and she tries to reform him.
Rating 5/5*

The Polar Express
I have seen mixed reviews about this one, but I personally really enjoy this movie. I remember the first time I watched this movie was when I was in school during one assembly (I was about 11 years old), and it just brings me lovely memories. But overall it is a simple but lovely film.
About the film: A young boy hops on a train to follow a journey to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus. During his journey he meets a variety of special people.
Rating: 4/5*
The Holiday
Every time I watch this movie I just fall in love. It is such a great rom-com movie for that festive period. It makes me laugh, smile, cry and just feel every emotion. But it is a favourite of mine to watch every year. As soon as I watch this movie I know Christmas is coming.
About the film: Two girls from different countries swap their homes for the holiday’s as they are trying to escape their relationship issues. However, when they both meet local guys their lives change unexpectedly.
Rating: 5/5*

Home Alone
I mean to be completely honest this is one of those movies that is just an all time classic. I remember watching it over and over as a kid, and I just love it. It is a perfect family film and the soundtrack is beautiful as well. I don’t think I will ever not watch this movie during Christmas.
About this film: 8-year-old Kevin is accidentally left behind as his family go to France. He is happy at first and is enjoying his time alone. However, thieves try to break into his home, so he decides to put up a fight.
Rating: 4/5*
Jingle all the way
As a kid this was one of my favourites growing up. My brother and I always were watching this movie, and it is a feel good and funny movie. Such a classic for the family. It is not your typical emotional festive movie, but instead just a silly, cheesy movie which I love actually.
About the film: Howard is a salesman that promises his son a toy for Christmas. However, he forgets and so is forced to search all over town to try and find this toy.
These are some of my favourite festive movies to watch during this time! There are so many out there that I love and do watch, but we would be here forever.
