I have seen many people write a bucket list for the summer like my lovely blogger friend Gillian Finn did. So be sure to check out her list as well. As a result, I was inspired to create my own list!
I am aware things are still a bit weird right now and travelling is beginning to happen but is not something I want to do right now. Hence why I am reminiscing in old memories like my throwback to New York, as that is the one thing I can do right now. I also did actually write a Summer Bucket-list last year which is slightly different to this year’s (again after being inspired by Gillian, she is just fab you know).
Therefore, for today’s list I will be talking about things that I want to do that are local to me or easy to travel to (not on public transport), or just personal things I want to do.
So here is my
SUMMER BUCKET LIST
The first thing on my list is hikes. I love hiking and there are so many beautiful places to hike around the world that I would love to do some day. However, for now I would love to be able to explore the local area more and just do some big hikes throughout the summer.
I want to make the most of what is around me and appreciate where I live. Therefore, I am excited to put this one on my list and hopefully I can find some beautiful places to Hike.
Of course it wouldn’t be a summer bucket list without a picnic on it right? There is just something special about packing up all your favourite food and sitting in a field with your partner, friends or family and just living in the moment. I mean what is actually better than eating and being with the people you love?
As it is Ryan’s birthday coming up we are planning on doing this on that day, which is going to be cute and lovely. Of course things are beginning to open up, but we are both still not ready just yet. Therefore, a little exploring and a picnic will do for now. Either way it will be a perfect birthday.
Of course my favourite time to run is during the summer (well maybe Spring and Autumn as well) because it is just easier to run when the sun is shining. Honestly trying to motivate myself to get out for a run in the winter is HARD. There is nothing worse than looking out at a horrible cloudy day and then having to run in that.
Therefore, on my summer bucket list is just to make the most of running and to create new routes with my runs. I want to improve and just enjoy my running journey. Of course I want to keep pushing myself too, like I mentioned in my July goals.
I am from London so it is not a regular thing to be seeing a beach. However, I am determined to experience at least ONE beach day this summer. As long as I can travel easily to it, and the beach is not full with people. I am not going to lie but I would not be able to deal with crowds right now OR seeing people litter. Especially as I would have to go up and say something. I mean come on people RUBBISH GOES IN BINS and if it can’t then TAKE IT HOME. It is not hard people.
Anyway I will not let that stop me from experiencing a lovely day at the beach. It will happen and it will be a nice change of scenery.
Learn new skills
A slightly different one but I want to continue learning new stuff. I love learning and understanding new skills. Therefore, I want to brainstorm some skills or things that I cannot do at the moment but maybe want to try. Then hopefully throughout the summer give some of them a good go.
I am not expecting myself to be great at picking these skills up but I just want to try. Plus I think it is great to keep pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, and all these skills will be transferable within future jobs.

I am aware it is not that exciting but with the way this year has gone it is to be expected. I am just happy with staying safe and comfortable. Maybe a shopping trip will occur, or we might venture out to a restaurant at some point. But at the end of the day we will follow the guidelines in place, and how we feel.
