Goals for July 2020

I normally do an overview of the month but I decided this month to just combine the overview with my goals for July. I Think it just makes sense to have a summary of June and then it flows nicely into my goals for July.

Firstly, there were many goals for June including; read two books, run 45 miles throughout the month, continue my workout’s and yoga, continue working on my blog (SEO and DA), have a big declutter, have a digital detox regularly and continue scheduling self-care. As a result:

  • I managed to read two books
  • I didn’t manage to run the 45 miles this month as I took more rest days and listened to my body but I am ready to go again.
  • I have been working on my blog and my DA actually went up by three!! I am so proud of myself and know that my hard work is paying off.
  • I make sure that I step away from the digital world at least one day a week.
  • I have made sure one day a week is dedicated to self-care.

Overall, I am happy with how June went and plus it was my birthday month too and that made it extra special.

Anyway time to get into my

Goals for July

So first on my goals for July is fitness. This is not going to be for everyone what I am about to say, and I am fully aware people are going to think I am completely bonkers. However, I am not going to lie but I have spent a lot of time watching people on Youtube compete in Ultramarathons (this is normally at least a 50-100km race, whereas a normal Marathon is about 42km) and really extreme types of marathons. The main reason is this is something that I aspire to. I would honestly LOVE to be able to compete at this level, and I know I will get there. I love running and pushing myself so I am excited to begin and document this journey.

The reason I wanted to include that in is because sometimes it is hard to motivate yourself to workout or exercise, but for me watching these videos is a massive kick up the butt. They inspire me so much in life, and it get’s me pushing and moving. Therefore, I am beginning my hardcore training and for this month I am hoping to run over 50 miles.

Also as I have previously mentioned in my June goals and May goals I want to continue with my workout’s because I feel my body getting stronger and I am doing moves I did not even know I could do (that sounds weirder than it was meant too). All thanks to the lovely Rhiannon and her daily fitness which has kept me going throughout lockdown. So of course continuing those workout’s has to make it on my goals for July.

Next on my list of goals for July is reading. I go through phases of reading a lot and then not for a while. Even though I managed to read my target of two books last month they still took me a long time. Therefore, my goal is just to get back into reading again, no set target but just to read.

Something that I have been thinking about is my blog, and so for my goals for July in terms of my blogging I want to begin looking into some affiliate type of work. I have seen some good ones to begin with out there, I just want to do some more research and then decide.

In addition, my blog views have increased again this month and I am so happy. I also managed to increase my DA score! Therefore, for this month my goal is again to continue building upon my work and engagement and improve my DA score again!

Lastly, I have been working hard with Pinterest and finding out what works for me. It is still a work in progress but I am finally beginning to get somewhere, and I feel happier with the Pins I am creating. I use Canva if that helps anyone.

Therefore, I just want to get into a routine of creating loads of pins in advance and even scheduling and pinning a lot more than I do.

Learn a new skill

I love learning anything and everything. I am a big geek and learning is great. Therefore, something I want to do for this month is to learn something new. I have no idea what yet, but I know this is my goal for this month. If anyone has any ideas then let me know in the comments!

There you have it my goals for July! I know I will be able to commit and smash these goals!

Let me know what your goals are for July? Or What you have planned for July?

  1. These sound like some fab goals! I have been running a lot more during lockdown and I want to keep that going – sometimes I am so motivated and then other weeks I don’t want to run at all!!

    1. Thank you! That sounds great, I have seen a lot of people get into running during lockdown 🙂 yeah I am the same, but even if I am not motivated I try to push myself to do it anyway because I feel better for it after 🙂 xx

  2. You have some great goals, this was actually really inspiring to read! It’s lovely to hear your DA has gone up, I still struggle with improving mine. And running 50 miles is awesome. I hope you achieve them all! 🤞🏾

  4. Great job with your milestones for June!! Sometimes, you need to listen to your body and listen to what it’s saying. Although you didn’t run the 45 miles over the month, you took some preventative care. But we’ll get back to it! Good luck with all of your goals for July!! It is amazing that you have increased your DA!! Sending you positive vibes 🙂
