Hello Monday we meet again. I don’t know what it is but the weekends and even weeks are flying by! However, this weekend that has just gone was a special one because it was my 25th birthday celebrations. I cannot quite believe I have made it to 25 to be honest. Not in that way but just how quickly my life has gone.
Anyway even though we are still in a weird time of lockdown/not lockdown obviously there was still not much choice in regards to doing anything for my birthday. I mean I didn’t really mind, I was more than happy just going for a walk.
Therefore, I decided my plan was to meet with my brother and his girlfriend and we were going to go to Knole Park in Sevenoaks to explore and have a cute hike.
Let’s get into the
Weekend in my life: Birthday celebrations

As I mentioned the main plan was to go for a lovely hike, and then end the day with a dinner in the garden (socially distant of course) and just hanging out really. The rest of the weekend was also just going to be spent going on more walks and me just relaxing if anything- plus a lot of time away from social media and my phone!
Breakfast in bed
I woke up on my actual birthday (the Friday) in a lovely mood and to Ryan bringing me a cup of tea and breakfast in bed. I mean what more could a girl want really? It was just the perfect start to the day. After that I then opened my presents from Ryan and his family and it was so cute.
I just want to mention that I never ask for things I don’t need and I would rather receive an experience or money rather than a load of stuff that will clutter everything up. However, if I do ask for anything it will be things I use. Plus I am just grateful for anything I receive.

Knole Park
At around 1 pm we headed over to Knole Park. Once we arrived we had to find our way into the park from town, and then it was just down to us to explore the park.
I have previously been to this park before and I absolutely love it. It is a lovely big park as well and filled with loads of beautiful deer. We actually saw a white deer, brown deer and the normal brown deer with white spots. It was just lovely to see nature instead of buildings and small parks that we are used to.
Also it was a hot day so walking around meant we did have to make sure we took regular breaks to sit down. Also due to COVID 19 the toilets were not open so we had to make sure we didn’t drink a lot (whilst making sure we stay hydrated). I think that was the only negative really. However, it didn’t ruin our experience we all managed to drink water and have a lovely time without needing the toilet until we got home.

Food
As it was my birthday I got to choose what we had for dinner. At first I was torn between “party mix” type food (sausage rolls, crisps, pizza etc) or a takeaway. I mean I even put a poll up on Instagram to help me decide! Anyway I thought by the time we got back from the park it would just be easier to get food delivered in.
It was just lovely to be able to sit in the garden and eat dinner and just socialise. It did have a 5 minute downpour of rain but other than that the weather was great!

Party Games
Of course a birthday is not complete without some party games. We started off with beer pong which had a mixture of fizzy drinks and some beer! Then we moved on to some card games that we all love to play.
Overall thoughts
Overall I had the best birthday celebrations I could possibly have in regards to this current climate. Although I did want to complete a hike over my 25th Birthday weekend, I know that the best was made out of a shit situation. Yes I couldn’t have all my friends over and it was just 6 of us but I still had the best time. I got to explore a beautiful area and park, I ate food that I love and spent it with people I love.
Anyone else had their birthday during this time or lockdown?

This was a lovely post Gemma, so nice to see what you got up to on your birthday! I saw the park on your stories and it looked lovely, sometimes it doesn’t look like England at all. I had my 21st birthday a few days before yours and went to the beach to enjoy the sun then had a takeaway in front of the telly! Sounds like we enjoy similar things π
It is a beautiful park! That sounds like a perfect way to spend your birthday π thank you so much xx
Sounds like you had a fantastic day!! I’m very much the same and prefer experiences for my birthday so as to make a memory out of them πβ¨ Breakfast in bed must have been a nice thing to wake up to and that park sounds so lovely (I hadn’t thought about the toilet situation that must be going on, will have to keep that in mind for future ventures!). So happy you had a lovely time πXx
