Goals for June 2020

As usual I am back with my goals for June and what I am looking to achieve, or even things that I want to begin doing. If you want to see how May went then I posted my “May overview” which you can check out.

I have a few goals to get through today and as usual I have separated them into categories. Let’s get started…

In my May goals I wanted to read three books throughout the month. However, as I mentioned in my May Overview I did not quite manage this and I ended up only reading two books. Therefore, I think I want to stick to that for this month and so my goal is to read two books in June. If I manage to read more that is great, but if I am busy then I am not going to put pressure on myself.

However, there are some books I want to purchase and add to my collection. I shall list them below. If you have more recommendations for any others let me know in the comments!

Health and Fitness

Last month I set a few fitness related goals including; running 40 miles throughout May, doing yoga twice a week, and continuing my morning workouts. Therefore, I want most of this to stay pretty much the same for the consistency.

However, I want to push myself even more with my running and so I have two goals for this. Firstly, I want to run 45 miles throughout June. This is a nice increase but also not too high a jump that I would not be able complete. Secondly, I want to run 10 miles in one run in June. This just means that within one of my runs I want to be able to complete a distance of 10 miles in that one go. I don’t mind if I walk some of it, as long as I run most of it and only walk for a maximum of one minute at a time.

The other fitness goals for June are the same as last month. I want to do yoga twice a week and continue my morning workouts during the week.

In relation to my health I want to make healthier choices with my snacks– overall my meals are not bad but it’s the snacking whilst being at home. Therefore, I want to stop that. Also I want to increase me drinking water again. I am not bad and I carry my water bottle around the house, but I need to drink more of it.

My goal for May was to just continue working and developing my blog. This in turn generated amazing results for me personally, which I am proud of. Therefore, again I want to continue this and promoting myself and just working hard with it.

Also I want to continue working on my DA and SEO, improving my overall site and just going through the maintenance tasks for my blog.

Lastly, I want to get more organised with my blog and get back into writing in advance. By this I mean more a month in advance rather than a week.

It has been a little while since I had a clear out, and so I want to have a nice big declutter. I think I just want to go through and organise my stuff and clothes and rearrange everything around again. I definitely think it is needed and I love cleaning so it will make me feel better too.

I think I am going to begin with creating a list for each room and ideally what I want to organise. This way it will give me a clear focus on what needs to be sorted and help me separate the cleaning so I don’t do it all in one go.

Digital Detox

I have been having tech free day’s or afternoon’s and it has been so beneficial to me and my health. I cannot stress enough how I think everyone should do this, because it just allows you to take a step back and enjoy the moment.

At the moment I tend to use Sunday’s as staying away from my phone, and then if I need to any afternoon throughout the week. This is something I want to continue throughout June.

Also I need to have another detox through my social media, emails, apps and even photo’s on my phone. Therefore, that is a goal for this month for me to do.

I have had this scheduled in my diary for months now, and I cannot tell you enough how important it is. Overall my mental health and wellness have really benefited from me just looking after myself. Whether it is taking a day off if I need to, stepping away from social media, or having a “Self-care” day. Therefore, again this has to be a goal for June to continue this.

That is all my goals for the month. Of course they may change and I may add in some, but this is generally what I want to achieve for June. Plus it is my birthday this month so that is exciting. Let’s make June a great month.

Thanks for reading,
