Hello we are now officially entering another month (honestly time is flying), and still currently in lockdown. Therefore, I like to have some clear goals for the whole month that I can work towards (and don’t worry there won’t be no Star Wars joke today).
I have separated them into categories because I find that easier for me to see my goals and what areas of my life I want to achieve them in etc. Anyway let’s get into them…
Firstly I am going to start with this one because if you have been following me on my social’s or just on my blog then you may know I have been upping my fitness. I mentioned in my April overview that I have begun doing live workout’s on Instagram (you can check out at the end of this post), and honestly they have changed my life! Therefore, of course one of my goals is to continue these and just watch my body get stronger and better.
Secondly, I also mentioned in my overview that I had managed to run 40 miles (5 miles more than my goal) last month. Therefore, I would love to set my goal for running this month 40 miles. I know I can do it, so I just want to be able to do that again, and if I end up doing more that is great. But I think it is important to set small goals to work towards, and just work your way up that way. I have a beginner tips for running if you want to check that out here.
Lastly, I have been doing some more yoga again but not in any routine. Therefore, I want to begin doing yoga more regularly and about two times a week for now.
I have also been neglecting my reading and this is something I want to bring back more into my routine. Therefore, my goal for this month is to read at least 3 books! I am currently reading a book, so if I can finish this one and then read another two I will be happy.
One thing I am grateful for during this lockdown is the time I have been able to dedicate to my blog and onto my routine/creating a routine. I have learnt so many things, and had the opportunity to make changes, and grow myself a bit more, or even just the time to promote myself (which I wouldn’t normally have whilst working).
Therefore, I just want to continue this and to continue learning and developing my blog more. But also just writing more and just finding inspiration for my posts to keep this up.
Firstly, I want to continue learning SQL and begin learning Python. If you are not aware these are both different types of coding languages. As nerdy as I sound, I love data and statistics and just beginning to learn these programmes is a huge deal for me. Plus they are something I can add to my CV and hopefully help me get a new job when things begin to go back to normal.
Secondly, I want to continue learning German and invest more time into my day for this. I normally do about 10 minutes at the moment, and this is not good enough so I want to change this to 20 minutes a day.
Lastly, I began playing my keyboard and guitar again whilst in lockdown, and honestly they both bring me so much joy. Therefore, I want to continue dedicating some time every week to just playing. Plus I always get some inspiration through being creative so this is beneficial for me as well.
I have mentioned but I have been making more time for self-care in my routine, and I have been loving it. Therefore, I want to continue this and make sure I dedicate time in my schedule for a pamper evening (you can click here for some products I have been loving) or time away from social media, or just a chill day etc. I cannot express enough how important self-care is to our well-being.
There you have it, these are just some goals I have for this month. Sometimes I add more throughout the month, and of course I have goals for during the week or daily goals etc.
