Hello loves, all I have been seeing is how long January has felt/been for everyone but for me personally I feel like it has flown by. This might be due to the fact I had a holiday in the middle but still, first month of the year done! Also I feel like I have been constantly busy- January has just been non-stop for me.
However, in the midst of all this chaos I do have a summary of the month for you all! Let me know what you have been up to this month?
Of course the first mention has to be my holiday! It was probably one of the most excited I have ever felt about a holiday. I had been wanting to go and snowboard abroad since I was 10 years old, and after watching countless “Winter Olympics” or YouTube videos of snowboarders for years my dream finally came true. Not gonna lie it was probably the best way to kick start 2020. Also it definitely helped kick the post Christmas blues knowing that I had a holiday booked. Anyway you can read all about that here.
I haven’t really updated my beauty products that much recently. However, there are a couple of products I do want to mention.
Firstly, the ‘Strawberry Booster’ by ‘B- BYBI’. It is a “100% cold pressed Strawberry seed oil”, and is vegan! It is a day booster so perfect for hydrating your skin, which is something that I definitely need a lot more in my life. Also, it is “rich in antioxidants and omega 3 and 6” and is sustainable– which I love. All you have to do is massage straight into your skin or you can also put a couple of drops into your daily foundation or bb cream- which just makes everything easier. This product costs around £12, but I think it will be long-lasting.
The second product is the ‘CBD OIL infused sheet mask’ by ‘Beauty Pro’. It is from their plant based range, so again vegan which is great. It is also suitable for all skin types, and helps ‘nourish and soothe stressed skin’– which is great for me when work stresses me the hell out. Also it is a biodegradable bamboo sheet mask, infused with anti-inflammatory cannabidiol– this is known to even out your skin tone, reduce blemishes and soothe complexion. This product only costs about £5.95, and I think it works really well on my skin.
I definitely have been trying to make more eco-friendly beauty swaps in my life, and just researching more about environmentally friendly products. I am not perfect but I am making a start.
I mentioned in this post that there were going to be some changes. Mainly to my name, as you may have noticed I am no longer “entermyworld” but now “GemmaaJayne”. I am feeling great about this new chapter and new name. However, as I also mentioned things may be a bit all over the place for a while. This is just me getting used to what to do and making sure everything goes smoothly. If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that I have been having some trouble.
Basically, once I changed my name it caused some trouble locating my site etc, due to the fact it was all in my previous name. Therefore, I have been spending a LOT of time trying to sort that out. As I am aware you can still access my site, comment and like etc. I just need to make some further changes, which I am currently working on.
The last thing you may (or probably not) have noticed is I have a domain! This is a new thing for me, and again I am learning and doing my thing along the way. Thank you in advance for the patience and still sticking around (if you do) with my journey and this blog.
I have been quite busy (as I mentioned) so I have found it hard to find time to read. However, I am currently about to finish this book “Brave New Girl” by Chloe Brotheridge. This book has been just what I needed at the right time. I definitely recommend it if you are into books that give you advice or “real life” books as I like to call them. You know what I mean?
This book focuses on ‘seven steps to confidence’. I mean you may not be aware but I have never been the most confident person, I tend to let other people speak and not really voice myself in a lot of situations. The last few years I have increased my confidence and have been much better in handling situations, and expressing myself in work situations. I am the first person to say I am proud of myself and how far I have come.
Anyway back to the book. This book gives you tips on how to bring out that confident in you. It is just a great reminder of things that we may already know we just need to hear again, but also how to change some bad habits and turn them into good ones. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for that little bit of a confidence boost.
That is all from my January round-up. Below I have listed three things that I want to take into February with me.
- Keep enjoying experiences and getting out more.
- Be more confident in your choices.
- Keep going and remember to look after you.
What are your goals or plans for February?
Thanks for reading, I hope 2020 has been a great one for you all so far!
