December Overview

Hi my lovelies! We are back with the last review of the year! I actually cannot believe that I am writing that. I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and Boxing day, whatever you did.

There were many things to love about December, I mean December does involve all the festivities. So let’s get into it…

Christmas Lights/Markets

We all know December involves the typical visiting as many Christmas Markets as possible, and appreciating all the pretty lights. Unfortunately I didn’t get to visit the Christmas markets that I would have loved to. However, I did get to experience some and I love going to them. Also I have just been embracing and going on more walks recently, especially to see all the local lights that people have decorated their houses with. So of course this had to be included into a highlight of this month. I will miss walking down the street and seeing all the decorations I will tell you that.

Glossy Box

I ordered my first glossy box for this month, because I have heard good things about this company. I did enjoy some of the products in this box… I loved the fake eyelashes (not that I can apply them like a normal human), the glittery eye shadow which could also be used as highlighter. But my favourite was definitely the lipstick, because I am a sucker for a good lipstick. This colour is perfect for me because it’s dark and red. I know not everyone loves a red but I do and I think it’s perfect for Christmas time. But I did also love the liquid eye shadow stick and it is all I have been wearing! It adds that little festive sparkle that we all want I guess.

Christmas Movies

Of course the one thing you HAVE to do during December is watch all the Christmas movies, whilst snacking on a tub of chocolates. I mean does it get any better than that?

I have watched literally them all. Elf, The Grinch, Santa Claus, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, The Holiday etc. You name it I have probably watched it. So this definitely HAD to be mentioned within this month, because nothing beats a good ol’ Christmas movie.

Festive Host

I hosted my own festive themed party, and it was brilliant! I love hosting and honestly when we get our own place I will be Queen of hosting! I just love it and there is nothing quite like it!

Baking

So I have definitely been enjoying baking this month. I made some shortbread biscuits and a festive chocolate cake! Both were super easy and so much fun to make, and of course tasted yummy! This is something I will be taking with me into the new year, and I want to get more into baking and cooking.

Fitness and Health

I have definitely been much happier with my fitness this month. My runs have been better and I feel stronger. However, I have plans to get back into a proper routine again including both gym and runs! I am excited, motivated and ready to look after my body properly again!

Also I have been reading more about food and preparing good foods for my body. This is something I will continue into the new year.

Christmas/Gifts

I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful Christmas with my amazing family. I won’t be doing a “what I got” post because I didn’t ask for much this year apart from Euro’s towards my holiday and some ski gear. However, I am beyond grateful for what I received and I never take anything for granted. It is not about the gifts but those around us that make life special.

December is probably one of my favourite months. There is just so much to love about it! It is going to be sad to leave it behind. I got ready for Christmas in November and really made the most of the festivities. This Christmas has given me time to reflect and think about what I really want from life. I am ready to kick life in the butt in 2020. Plus I am kick-starting in the best way- with a holiday in January! But for now I am going to enjoy the last few days of 2019 (even if I do have to work).

I hope you have had a fab month, and hope you have an even better year!

What have you got planned for the new year? Are you doing anything for New Years Eve?

Thanks for reading, see you in the new year! If you missed it I posted yesterday about some changes to my blog- so definitely go have a read of that here!
