Summer look-book ✌🏼✨

Hello hope you are all doing great. Most of my fashion I tend to  re-wear and some pieces I got years ago and so I went through my wardrobe and decided to bring back some classics and re do some styles with some new pieces as well. All about that sustainable living. Anyway here is what I have been loving and styling this summer…

  1. Long skirts

I always thought that long skirts just didn’t suit me because I am short (5ft3 to be exact) and I always just thought they were better for taller girls. However, the beginning of this year I got this skirt from Primark and I was really wary about it, but I have honestly worn it so much that I am surprised it hasn’t ripped haha. Anyway, I think long skirts are just cute and you can wear them all year round which is something I love. Plus you can dress them up or down and I just think they are great.

2. Denim shorts

I have always been a black denim kinda gal, but this year I have really been loving blue denim. I find these cute shorts and they have been great (I think I wore them like 3 days in a row during this humidity in the UK). They are stretchy and comfy around the waist, which is great (Especially for eating haha). Plus I have loved styling them with Tees. Which of course I styled in the picture above as well (one ‘Gun’s and Rose’s cause I love that band and another a tiger cause they are my favourite animals haha). I just love the freedom wearing Tees can give you and plus the rocky edge I am all about.

3. Crop tops

I went off crop tops for a while, I don’t know why but sometimes I just go through phases with clothes and for me that was crop tops. This white one I have had FOREVER (I am really surprised the white has faded or something). Honestly I used to wear this top on nights out all the time during my undergrad days. However, I think it looks super cute paired with these blue denim shorts, and is just perfect for those hot summer days.

4. Dresses

Now I have always had a love hate relationship with dresses. When I was younger I had dresses (I was proper tom boy), and it was rare that my mum could manage to get me into a skirt or dress. However, as I have got older I have loved dresses and even more so this summer. I really enjoyed these cute dresses for my holiday to New York this summer. They are super comfy and I love being able to move around in a dress. I got this one in a flowery print and also in black and I just adore both of them (I think they were both from Tophop)

This dress is also super cute and actually one of those dresses where I have never felt so confident before in my life. It is low cut at the back, which means you probably should wear without a bra (however, I did once go out with a bra on underneath it and it wasn’t the end of the world so you do you). Again it is super comfy and I love the confidence it gives me.

I don’t know if you would call this a dress (because it is not), but I did make it into a sort of dress. This is something I have loved doing for a LONG time. Basically if I ever see cool tops in the mens section in a shop I will buy them. Normally I size right up to large because I think I need it baggy, and then I try to style it like a dress. I think this look is super cute and I love it in the Autumn where I can style it with some tights and boots. But also in the summer with no tights and my heeled boots. Such a cute look! And you can do it with any pieces in your wardrobe! Anyone else do this?

Tell me in the comments what are your favourite summer pieces this year? Or what is your go-to fashion statement?

I hope you enjoyed this post! I don’t tend to do fashion posts that often, but I do love fashion. Also I really am beginning to feel more and more confident in what I wear and finding my style. Although it does tend to change all the time haha.

If you enjoyed give a like, comment and follow for more posts!
