Resetting my Life๐ŸŒธ…

Today I just wanted to write something about restarting. By this I mean I just need to completely refresh my life. I mean by changing my routine, my to-do lists, how I revise or do coursework, how I work, my way of thinking- just everything.

Therefore, I thought I would share with you some things I have done/started doing to refresh and start again…

  • Change Routine

By this I mean the way I do my work. Recently I have started to adapt the way I study by only working for 25 minutes (I do this by setting a timer), once that 25 minutes is up I then take a 5 minute break… during that break I take a walk, or go and talk to someone and just socialise (I recommend not spending this break on your phone). Firstly, I have noticed how much more productive I have been and just how much better my writing and work is. I definitely recommend this (You can find out more about this technique from this lovely lady on youtube– where I learnt it from. She also has another video on “resetting” as well which I found really helpful)!

I have also tried to change my fitness routine around a bit as well because I have found if I do a routine in the gym all the time I get bored and it just doesn’t motivate me. I definitely recommend changing your routine up every week just to keep things fresh and keep your body working- because even your body gets used to routine too! I also do this with my running too by regularly changing the route that I run, because I find I also get quite bored of running the same route.

  • Change Your Room Around

I definitely recommend this one! I love just changing everything around my room around. I know it probably seems mad and too much effort, but I just find sometimes I am hating my room so I spring clean it and change the furniture around and it just helps me! Sometimes I even find a better place for a piece of furniture in my room and just feel much calmer and relaxed. Sometimes you just need a new place/space and instead of going to the extreme and moving to a different area haha you can just change the room around!

  • Writing Down my Goals

By this one I mean proper big goals. The future goals. For example, for me I want to eventually become a qualified Child Psychologist/Educational Psychologist. For this I write down everything I need to achieve to get to that point and why I want to do it and why I love about it so far. This can be the same for any job or whatever you are doing as well. It really helps to clarify and find out what you want- whether it is still where you are or maybe you want to go down a different career path. You need to question “how happy am I doing what I am doing?”.

  • Focus on my Passions

This one I want to incorporate more into my life. Things that just bring my joy and happiness, those are the things we should all be doing more off. For me I want to dance more, play music more or draw more and just spend time with my friends more. I have neglected everything too much, and now that needs to change. More of a balance, with priority of my passions because life is too short and I need to experience the best of me more.

Finally a little message to just say embrace yourself more, find things that bring you joy. Relax more and just spend time figuring sh*t out if you need too, or just spending time focusing on you. You do you. You just gotta grab life by the hand and go for it. Travel, experience more, play music, draw, work, do sports, entertain people. Do whatever you can to make your life the best it can be. Even if that involves a reset like mine needs.

Does anyone else ever feel they need a change in life? What do you do to “change things up”?

Thanks for reading, I don’t even know but I just needed to get all this down. If you enjoyed give a like, comment and follow for more- I am nearly at 200 followers that is mad!๐Ÿ’š You can catch up on my previous post here.

  1. love this! changing your room around is an amazing suggestion & i find that writing down goals totally helps me actually do them! kinda helps hold myself accountable ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. Great post!๐Ÿ˜Š I need to try this 25-5 minutes thing, I struggle so much when it comes to staying focused on one thing for a long time! I also feel like I need to change a few things in the way I organise my life. For example, I’d like to go to the gym more or to find some time for my hobbies!

    1. Thanks! Yeah definitely, it really works and helps- well for me it does ๐Ÿ˜Š that sounds great, definitely recommend a change every now and then! ๐Ÿ˜Š xx

  3. I am always changing my room up and it used to annoy my mum so much! I think it is a good thing to change, especially when your day to day of school does not change. xx
