March Overview: “Fitness Goals”…πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ🏼

It is officially the 31st of March, the end of the month. The time for me to reflect on my goals and whether I completed them (You can check out that post here). I mean anyone else love the fact the end of the month has ended on a Sunday, and the beginning of next month begins on a Monday? Love that.

I mean I would be lying if I said this month wasn’t hard… Normally I am alright with fitness and I enjoy going to the gym (weird I know). But the beginning of this month I really struggled with motivation and I just didn’t want to exercise or run (it was weird). I did it anyway, but the first two weeks were very limited with amount of exercise I was doing. I don’t really know why I was stuck in this weird rut, and I thought I wasn’t going to get out of it. I also really convinced myself I wasn’t going to complete any of my fitness goals I had set myself, and it was all very stupid.

Lets get into my goals I set…

Cycle 10km on the bike a week

This is probably one of the goals deep down I knew I would be able to complete. To confirm I did actually do this goal and I managed to cycle over 10km a week on the bike in the gym every week! So definitely happy about that.

Run 25 miles throughout the month

This one is should be easy for me (I mean my training for my half-marathon was running over 50 miles a month). However, I have been in a slump with my running for some reason. I don’t know what it is, or why but I just have lacked motivation to run. The first two weeks of March were considerably difficult and to be honest I really thought I wasn’t going to complete the 25 miles. I mean literally my lack of runs within those first two weeks was appalling… However, something happened within that third week and I just started running more (it was like something in me changed). This means that somehow by some miracle I have actually ran 25 miles within the month of March. Meaning I ran just over 10 miles a week for the last two weeks. Time to up the game now I am motivated again haha! Let me know how far you think I should run next month? (I am thinking of maybe 35 miles throughout April).

Complete one fitness class

Ok so this one might seem a bit pathetic for all you hardcore gym goers out there (trust me I think it is too haha). But honestly with my timetable and everything that is going on, and the times of the classes in my gym it is soo hard to go to a class. HOWEVER, of course I went and finally managed to get to a bloody class… and when I say that I mean it took me until the last day (that is today) to do that class. I chose to do a “spin” class because I really enjoy them and I have done a few of them before. Plus I have been at my gym FOREVER that the gym instructors know me so always make the class fun.

That was all for my goals, but I shall be making some more goals which I shall post next week so look out for that! Also HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the wonderful, hard working, gorgeous mummies out there! You are doing a fabulous job and I hope to one day be as great as you all! I haven’t wrote a specific post but my last post was about celebrating each other, which I think fits perfectly with Mother’s day so check that out here. 🌸

Did you manage to complete any goals? Did you do anything exciting in March? Let me know in the comments, I would love to speak to you all!Β

  1. Omg girl these goals sound so amazing and I take my hat off to you! I desperately need to make some fitness goals and start looking after my body, but it can be so difficult so well done you! xx

  2. That’s amazing you managed to reach all your goals! πŸ˜„ Don’t forget to listen to yourself, sometimes finding the motivation is hard and it’s okay! 😊 I personally only wanted to go to the gym a few times since I’m really struggling to find the time to go… And I went twice in March! It sounds really bad but it’s still better than never going haha πŸ˜‚

    1. Thank you, and definitely sometimes I need to remind myself of that and just listen to myself and body if I am not feeling up to it 😊 that’s not bad! Sometimes we just need to have a break and then sometimes we really get into it 😊 x

  3. I have tried 2 classes this past month: Pilates and yoga and have loved them! I am excited to try more classes as I get fitter. xx

    1. That’s great!! I do want to try some different ones as well, and definitely want to get back into yoga. I am definitely noticing my body and health as I exercise more xx

  4. In order to be truly committed to fitness goals, they must be straightforward, worthy and achievable. This is the realistic approach to setting genuine health and fitness goals.
