“A dream is a wish your heart makes…”
This is not an ad or anything. We just love Disney and everything mentioned is my own opinion and we paid for.
Living near London a lot of my trips are based there, apologies for that haha! But I definitely had to write about this because I LOVE Disney and this was a whole Disney themed birthday treat for one of my best friends (who I have known for about 13 years now). Big shout out to her for being a damn great woman.
Firstly me and another friend organised to go for lunch/afternoon tea at the Cinderella themed Tea Terrace. It is in a House of Fraser near London Victoria I believe (although, I think there is another one somewhere else in London). Not gonna lie it was absolutely stunning. Every little detail was thought about, and even the lights/chandeliers were made out of tea cups and spoons and it was so cute. Definitely in my Disney element here haha.
We had actually booked the Cinderella carriage (because why not dine like a queen eh?), but it does require a booking fee and to spend a minimum of £21. However, this was easy for me and my friends because we decided to get food and then cake and tea after. I believe if you don’t want the carriage you can just turn up and sit at a table and eat etc. This might be expensive for some, but I think it is fairly reasonable considering if you compare with other afternoon tea places.
The carriage was beautifully decorated and it just felt so Disney to be sitting in it and of course ordering a bottle of prosecco just made it even more special. I didn’t realise but once we paid the lady gave us all a Cinderella themed photo frame, and it was just a lovely touch and nice little present that we could take away (I believe that’s only if you book the carriage). It was just the perfect start to our day and my friend absolutely loved it!
How cute is this elephant teapot though??
I have to mention that the food was really good and generous portions as well! Although by the time I got to the cake I was so full! Plus the pot of tea they gave me I managed to drink about 5 cups out of it and there was still some left (I don’t recommend drinking that much tea in one go though haha!). I would rate this place 4/5.
Secondly we had booked to go and watch “Disney’s Broadway hits” at the Royal Albert Hall and I get that this is not really for everyone. But, we all love this and love Disney so it would be the perfect end to the evening for us. We arrived there about 6:40pm and it didn’t start until 7:30pm, so it gave us time to get some snacks and drinks (which bloody hell cost a lot). Then we made our way to our seats.
The atmosphere was amazing and the songs were brilliant. Each Disney film had a lovely little story behind it, and the singers blew me away. Their voices were incredible and if anyone else went and saw this you will know. Honestly, if I could sing like that Disney songs would be all I ever sing haha. There were parts where we didn’t really know songs and didn’t know the Broadway show, but it was just great to experience and learn about something that we didn’t know before. Although, if they did a “Disney’s Film hits” at the Royal Albert Hall man would I be straight there front row… probably singing every song. I mean they so need to do that. Nevertheless, I rate this experience a 4/5 mainly because of some of the parts that we didn’t really know. But, it was still fabulous and everyone’s talent blew me away.
Overall it was such a cute day and my best friend really enjoyed herself. It was really great and I definitely recommend going for afternoon tea Disney themed style! There are some others I want to do as well. I mean if there was a Mulan themed or Tangled themed afternoon tea I would so be there!
