October Favourites…

It has been a long time since I have wrote a favourites post… mainly because I haven’t had a lot of significant things that I feel I need to write about. However, October has been one of those months which has been pretty crazy with fashion, books and even a blast from the past. Lets get into it…

Denim Skirt

As soon as my eyes glanced upon this skirt I knew I had to buy it. I love the fact it has rips on it, and the fact it is actually quite stretchy even though it has a jean feel. I feel you can definitely dress this for nights out or even during the summer. I love the rock feel to it as well (my past 15 year old self would be high-fiving me for this buy). I cannot remember how much it was exactly but it was from New Look I believe.

2. Button up Dress

I don’t know if there’s a real name for this but oh well haha. I really love this and it feels so comfy, but also looks like the most autumnal outfit ever. It was from Primark and you can wear a thick jumper underneath it for the more colder days or like I have with a crop top if it’s slightly warmer. It does come up quite short but I mean it’s not above butt short so it is fine haha.

3. Leather Skirt

Not gonna lie I am into skirts at the moment haha. This one I just really liked because I thought it was perfect for autumn, and again you can pair it with a jumper and tights for those colder days. But you can always dress it up for a night out with no tights and some heels. It fits for both occasions.

4. Minnie Mouse Pink Jumper

This jumper is super cute (From primark) and so comfy. It is also quite long so you probably could get away with wearing it with some leggings or even tights, but maybe go up a size if you do. I love this and have already wore the hell out of it haha.

“Who Moved My Cheese?” by Dr Spencer Johnson

I know it has a weird title and I will say this book probably won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, however I love the motivational type books and this one is definitely that. It is entirely metaphorical (in case you didn’t get it from the title), im not just reading books about cheese haha. But it does get you to think about your life choices.

2. “One Day in December ” By Josie Silver

This book is fairly new and I actually went and bought it the day it was released… and not gonna lie it has changed my life (I know overdramatic much). It is a complicated love story that somehow seems more real life than most, and I am a sucker for a good love story haha. I definitely recommend this one for anyone that loves a romance as much as I do.

3. “Happiness by Design” by Paul Dolan

This is another motivational book so sorry about the spam on these types of books. However, this one is pretty great and I just love it. Books like these just make me reflect about my own life and if I need to change anything (I am not good at explaining the book so if you want to know more then research and hopefully the blurb will be more helpful haha).

Dirty Dancing

I know what you are thinking… “this film is old” and I know but I recently re found my love for it after I went to see the theatre production of it (You can see a blog post about that on my page). Honestly I fell in love with it again and it helped me find my passion for dancing again, and I am happy and content with that.

Last but not least I got my hair done and cut short again, and I am loving it. I feel like myself again and October has truly been a fabulous month. I know getting my hair cut isn’t exactly a favourite but getting a new style is, and I love having short hair.

This post has been a bit long so time for me to stop rambling. What are some things you have been loving this month?

Thanks for reading,

Gemm xo
