January Favourites 2018

I did want to post this last Wednesday so it would fit with the “end of January”, however work kind of took over and now its Sunday, the beginning of February.

Anyway, I have some things that I have been loving throughout January, which are mainly beauty products but I want to share.

Let’s get into it…

Beauty

  1. Elf Foundation

Walking around my local shopping centre and going into Superdrug and realising they now sell “Elf” make up was a massive shock to me (I was excited though). Thus, I was quick to pick up this foundation and give it a go. I was already looking around for a new foundation, so this was perfect for me.

So far I am loving it and its just a nice gentle, easy foundation on my skin and its perfect for my work times when I don’t want something too overpowering. Also it evens out my skin and makes it that little bit better. I personally love it, and recommend it!

2. No 7 Facial Tan

This product I bought for the first time back in June when I wanted something on my face to give it that natural glow (Especially as I tan on my body quite easily). I bought this to try and I loved it. However, I stopped using it for a while (just because I forgot). I saw it again in boots and decided to buy it.

I have been applying it most days (attempting every other day) before work. I love it as it gives my face a nice glow so I don’t need to put foundation on for work if I can’t be bothered. Plus during these colder it is perfect for keeping that sun glow on your skin, without actually getting any sun.

3. NYX Strobe of Genius Hologram Stick

This product I did not actually intend on buying, but I was browsing through the NYX section and this caught my eye. I have been using it regularly and I love the glow on my cheek. Plus it is small enough for you to just chuck into your bag and get out during the day when you might need a little pick me up.

However, I do feel like it feels a bit sticky on my skin and so I have been combining it with my normal powder highlighter and that seems to work fine. I am not sure if I would buy it again though.

TV

4. Black Mirror

This is not a beauty product but moving away from beauty I needed to talk about this TV series on Netflix. Basically myself and my partner began watching “Black Mirror” this month and completely love it.

It is weird, psychotic and twisted so if you are not into thriller type series then I suggest that this is not for you. However, I am for some reason drawn into it and cannot stop watching it. It is one of those series that makes me question things in society, life and even the future. I definitely recommend if you are into this sort of thing!

There you have it! I didn’t have many favourites this month, but I am sure there is more to come throughout the February month so look out for that at the end of that month.

Thanks for reading and feel free to let me know some of your favourites and maybe make up recommendations from January I would love to read them!
